Symposium & Network Workshop: «Animation & Politics in a Globalized World»

Zusammen mit Dr. Erwin Feyersinger (Universität Tübingen) und Andrea Polywka (Philipps-Universität Marburg) organisiere ich das zweitägige Online-Symposium «Animation & Politics in a Globalized World», das am 28. Oktober 2021, dem International Animation Day, startet.

Im Rahmen des englischsprachigen Symposiums präsentieren Referent*innen aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt ihre Forschung und praktische Arbeiten zu Animation und Politik, die Keynotes werden von Eric Herhuth (Tulan University) und Esther Leslie (Birkbeck, University of London) halten. Mein eigener Vortrag wird am Freitag, 29. Oktober, als Teil des Panels «Current Research on Animation, Politics & Contemporary Media Culture» stattfinden.

Die Veranstaltung ist eine Kooperation der AG Animation (innerhalb der Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft) und das DFG-Netzwerk «Animation and Contemporary Media Culture» an der Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, ideell gefördert wird sie von der Documentary SIG der Society for Animation Studies (SAS).
